What determines whether someone can disarm traps or not?
title. I always assumed anyone could do it, it was just a question of having enough Trickery score. Is this not the case? I just ran a party without Camelia or Thiefling and couldn't even attempt to disarm or lockpick anything. It sucked D:

I think its trickery? not sure but I always have 1 theif with me in parties
I know Trickery is the stat that governs your success chance, but I literally had a popup saying "nobody in your party can pick locks".

I suppose the reason I'm curious is because the Knife Fighter subclass for rogue says it loses the bonus trap detection - I'm scared that if I make one I'll get a "durr ur not allowed 2 do dat" message when, three hours into my campaign, I try to disarm a bomb

You need at least 1 rank in trickery. Trickery is a skill that requires training. Just having modifiers on it is not enough.
