Scroll of Atonement bug?

I currently play as a Lawful Evil Aeon with the aim of becoming a Devil later on . My Problem is that Lawful actions push you towards the "Lawful neutral" point. Therefore, even though i barely ever chose "good" options, i´ve still turned Lawful Neutral towards the end of Act 3.
Now i used a scroll of atonement, but it didn´t put me back to Lawful Evil but instead to Lawful Neutral (in addition to removing my entire Biography)!
Is this a bug or did i oversee anything?

And please don´t tell me that i should have picked more "evil" choices. A lot of them are just the worse choice in a given situation and i´m still getting pushed to LN by my Lawful choices...

Scroll of Atonement reset your alignment to alignment you'd set during character creation. So either:
a) Your character was made as LN.
b) You played with cheat-mod too much and ruined something in your savefile :)

a) I created the character as Lawful Evil
b) I never played with any cheat-mod for the game so far :)

So I don't know the answer but I do know the "iconic" alignment for Aeons is LN.

So what Atonement appears to be doing is setting you to the default alignment for Aeon rather than the original alignment for the character.

I do not know if this is intended (i.e. once you have a Mythic path, this is how Atonement now works) or YANO bug.

is it for roleplay? because you don't have to be lawful evil to turn into an devil, just pick the devil options in the aeon quests

Yes the scroll after act 5 sets you to Mythic Path intended aligment.

Yeah, it´s just for roleplay. I kinda expected that i had to be LE to become a Devil, but if i don´t have to, i don´t need to force it. I play as a kinetic knight that worhips Asmodeus, so i´m not hampered gameplay wise by an alignment change to LN...
