for merged spellbook cleric, oracle, shaman and druid are your options, all of them can end up as broken casters so pick the flavour you like
He could cast level 7 angel spells as a swift action, and wade in on his mount and attack 6 times.
His angelic buffs are insanely good, and lasted for 24 hours on the entire party. Essentially he made the entire party immune to just about everything bad, spell resistance 30 for the whole party (20 + 2 per mythic rank), and tons of elemental resistance. He was able to reach level 10 spells at mythic level 10, though the provides only a short window to even use them.
I'm considering a merged spellbook Angel, but thought I would mention how great this combo worked out. It was almost too good, when top bosses were going down in a single turn.
My full build was Cavalier 15, thug 2, fighter 3. He wielded a heavy flail.
Shaman and Druid merge as well? I mean, technically they are "divine" casters too in 3.x / PF, but there is a clear distinction between true Divine casters(Cleric / Oracle) and Nature / Primal(Druid / Shaman) casters.
But yeah, Angel is super strong with most things. The hard part will be to actually decide what to use.
You stack a lot of powerful features like good damage, on hit effects, full spellcasting up to 10th Spells with merged Angel Spellbook, free feats, a full scaling pet as soon as level 1, CHA to AC & more!
I have a guide here detailing it all:

I've actually watched the whole video and subbed! Tho, how do I use rosds to empower spells? Have never donne that as in general my play style was to beat things till they stop moving. :P
A question tho, how do you deal with enemy resistances since you didn't pick any spell penetration feats?
High level slots are basically just automatic “i win” buttons.
After the spellbook merging, I was on God Mode, and literally crushed everyone, including the optional "secret" bosses.
It was fun though.
If you are fine with getting really really powerful, a pure divine caster is mandatory.
Note for the uninitiated : spell book merging means your caster level will become (MP levels + character levels), instead of (normal character level), with full benefits.
Let's say you are MP level 4 and Oracle level 11, you spell casting abilities will be those of a level 15 Oracle, with access to level 6 and 7 spell early on ... Not even mentioning the massive improvement in spell penetration you get from this.
Also add to that level 10 spells, higher caster level meaning more powerful spells overall (not only angel's)... yeah angel divine caster spell book merging is really fun. Caster/melee cleric/oracle you can't really go wrong here. Angel and Lich are probably the most powerful paths you can have in the game right now.
I think IR is only good if you have ways to stack a lot of extra dr. Just getting 10 for 20 levels won't do much if you're getting hit for 80+ or something, and you get 10 dr from legendary proportions or stoneskin but that won't stack with anything.
