Aeon path not unlocking?

I am playing for the 2nd time now , Azata on first time (which still is my favourite, but I don`t want to repeat myself) and thought about Aeon.
Well, it`s no option :-(
I got the knife , I chose the Aeon answer at the wardstone and got the achievement All paths unlocked, so I wonder, what`s the problem.
Trickster was interesting to me as well, but I guess for a ranger it is not that ideal.

I didn't have trouble unlocking Aeon. Following True Aeon Path -- different story.

Where you get the scripted dialogue? I think so - there I got the knife.

From what you say in the first post it`s obvious that you unlocked the path (since you chose Aeon option in a conversation later). But are you at rank 3? Just in case you don`t know already you can only chose it after you get the banner at the Drezen siege, not at the wardstone. Otherwise it may be a bug.

Only works if you release angels inside with Aeon option losing dagger in the process, I have not seen any other ways it unlocks for Drezen, so you need to pick look at red angels with Aeon eyes then use the purple dagger to release them from the wardstone.

Making this kinda suck as option for anything other than picking Aeon, since it would leave wardstone void for act 4, making it impossible to save all npcs you'd wanna save if you're not playing evil character.

So almost never have Aeon option myself less I plan to play Aeon or try for devil, that and did it for achievement unlock. But other than that it feels like not a good option pairing up downside to unlocking it with upside of having option available if you're not sure about playing Aeon or not.

Aha - thx for your answer. Unfortunately i did not pay attention, if Aeon showed up on the first playthrough, because Azata was absolutely my favourite. I destroyed the wardstone though like Aeon seemed to prefer. I did not this timeand the Angels negotiated. But still - why I got the achievement all paths unlocked?

The achievement counts unlocked paths across playthroughs. I got it on my 3rd playthrough. I only had Lich, Angel, Demon and Trickster available when you need to settle on a path. I'd done Azata and Aeon in my previous two runs.

This is my first playthrough for Pathfinder: WOTR. I'm choosing to do a good instead of evil run. I wanted to pick the Aeon option for the wardstone since A) I like the option better and B) It apparently leaves the Aeon mythic path option open, albeit I'm not sure if I'll pick it later on. However, I can't find exactly what happens down the line story-wise if I destroy the wardstone by picking the Aeon option. I don't wan't to spoil the story, but... will picking Aeon here really get some characters killed down the line? I'd like to keep the Aeon mythic option open but dang, I usually like to save as many ppl as possible And if I pick the Aeon option, will it lock out other mythic paths?
