you can give him a range weapon and turn him into a domain buffbot
or if you want to melee with him get him a animal companion and let him mount it all the time for ac
Sorry to ask, i'm starting here.
... would be cool if there were more of them to deal with ... that's situational to this campaign...
He has some great party buffs, he really is a great healer esp. later on, and like all clerics, he has offensive spells that can dish out holy damage. Demons no like holy damage.
Hope it is useful
Cheers
I'm playing on easy right now. Learning the maps.. I learned to read the mobs tooltips and to use casters on the weaker defenses. I could probably play normal.
Point is i don't have to do any healing at all right now, but i do remember spamming heals to keep a character alive at the very beginning of the fight, and losing it anyway.
I would probably play on turn base, on normal, except for the fights with a lot of NPC like the tavern or Drezen.
EDIT: is there a video i could watch about the guy? Youtube maybe? I'll dig it up myself. Thanks.
Yeah, clerics use Vancian casting. They don't need to learn spells, but they need to pray nightly to their deity to get them back. Basically: yeah, resting brings back their spells, they are not spontaneous casters.
he gives buffs, removes debuffs and prevents debuffs
domains are one of the available class mechanic for a cleric, popular domains are :
animal, for animal companion
community, for sacred buff
nobility, for insight buff
in wotr you can get all of these domains on one cleric with taking the mythic feat impossible domain multiple times
and usually it is better to protect from damage than heal so resist energy spell and other protective spells tend to be more helpful .
Would anyone be so kind as to explain, Divine buffer?
A buff is a spell or effect that enhance your characters or whole party. Divine casters such as Sosiel have access to spells that profane casters (such as Ember and Nennio) don't.
Just a few very good divine "buff" spells that you can look into (but there are many others) that Sosiel can cast when you get him at level 5-6 :
level 1 : shield of faith, protection vs evil/chaos, bless,
level 2 : barkskin (with revelant domain), communal protection vs evil, aid, bull strength
level 3 : prayer, delay poison communal, resist energy communal, magical vestment
And some domain powers are really strong as noted above.
Coulda just said he was gay without using a slur.
But, of course, you wouldn't.
