I just killed the quasit each round (TB mode) so it kept wasting its rounds on self-rez. He got a Prismatic Spray off once IIRC but luckily my party made their saves.
The quasit is an optional/secret boss. It just gives (a lot of) xp and some loot but isn't needed for any quest.
1. You spawn a lot of skeletons before the fight. Then you cast Blessing of Unlife (necromancy magic) on all party members and that will give you immunity to the Wail of the Banshee. You can also add more buffs to protect your party like Death Ward (makes you immune to negative level).
2. You start the attack. Right before the phase one ends (Pathetic Quasit first death) you move all you party to the edge where you did the teleport to get to the roof.
3. You can teleport back down right now or try to use AOE magic like your Wail of the Banshee to kill the mobs that spawn and only then teleport back.
4. Run far away to make the battle stop and save the game
5. Now you can heal or even go to rest and come back
6. You back and attack the Pathetic Quasit from below till he dead.
*** I already killed it twice in my first attempt so he was already dragon when I came back from the rest. So when he in dragon form and you below he won't attack you and it easy to kill him with spells. Then you just teleport up and take the loot (don't forget to loot the mobs)
Good luck :)

Core difficulty comes with this option disabled. However, I definitely don't remember anything too bad from the actual quasit - Perhaps that setting was enabled? In a different run (one in which I didn't just one-shot its first two forms), I don't remember anything more deadly than magic missile.
1. Really high Fort saving throws will mitigate it.
a. you could possibly have the item 'Ring of the Dead' (from a relic), +4 to saves.
2. Be an undead creature. (If you are on the Lich path, any animal companion you'll have becomes immune, as does your skeletal companion.)
3. Gain immunity to death effects.
a. you can use the 'Death Ward' spell.
b. you could possibly have the item 'Ring of the Dead' (from a relic).
c. you could have the 'Death's Kiss' ability from the Death domain or Undead subdomain.
The spell also has a Sonic tag, so if you were somehow immune to Sonic effects, you would be immune. The damage type isn't sonic, though, so sonic resistance won't help.
There are some other items, but you shouldn't have access to them:
Warding Helmet
Revelry
Vile Ichor of Undying Mold
Scarab of Protection
Stubborn Head (+4 saves only)
Pristine Mind (reroll failed save 3/day)
