radiance (spoilers)
I put radiance in my storage in act 1 so I didnt get to talk to Joran about making a scabbard for it. is it still possible to upgrade radiance in later acts or will it be stuck as a mundane item for the rest of the game?

No, its stuck like that now.
I usually put it on my main character in one of the unused weapon slots on all runs so i don't forget about it.

Ye, you should be able to grab the upgraded Radiance from Toybox and upgrade that one later on, afaik. It should be +2, iirc.

You, I don't think I can get the next upgrade. I read somewhere that you had to save someone from the lilithu torture dungeon and she would bless it... I think I missed it though.

Doesn't matter that one freaking black dragon longsword I bought in act 3 seems to be stronger than freaking everything I've come across so far.

The upgrade after the Joran one is at the very end of Act 3, so unless you're in Act 4 you should still get it if you add the +2 version with toybox

Radiance isn't great as a weapon until its Act 5 upgrade, which comes too late to matter. Plus at that point you can cast holy sword on whatever weapon you want, which basically mirrors what Radiance eventually becomes. But if you're worried about it at all, then just use Toybox to give yourself the blade. It isn't best-in-slot anyway so you don't have to worry you're making the game easier or correcting some sort of role-playing mistake on your part.

BTW, only recently did I realize how important it is that it remains a cold iron weapon through all its upgrades.

Yeah, as always, all versions are in TB ... and any version could be tweaked.

radiance is insanely strong because of the at will greater dispel. About half the big fights in the game let you dispel the boss before you Agro him

Just felt it important to note that Radiance can also be upgraded via the Trickster mythic path's Knowledge: Arcana trick, since whenever it's upgraded, it's an unidentified magical item at first.
Thanks to K:A 3, I ended my Trickster run with a +7 Radiance with +2d6 Cold & Acid Damage...it was just disgusting to watch in action, really made me wish i'd given Seelah Elemental Barrage.

Wait, did I misunderstand how that works? I thought that it only did the area version of dispel which means it only removes area of effect spells like cloudkill etc. I thought the area version specifically doesn't work on actual creatures.
It works on all creatures in the area

I have toolbox, but the instructions you linked aren't working for me. I'm probably doing something wrong in toolbox. I found the scabbard in the etudes section, but I cannot find the start button mentioned in the link. Is there any way could explain them in greater detail?
Thanks!

You don't have to use Etudes, all versions of Radiance as an item, including its final upgraded form, are items you can add to your stash in "Search n Pick".
