You have to accept the powers BUT you have to exhaust all dialogue options (questioning) before that. You know you have done it right when Areelu comments on your inquiries.
However I am pretty sure that the guide mentions this
edit : I checked and it does mention it. Check Act 4 step 12. This is what it says :
" Step 12:
When talking to Areelu, express your surprise by mentioned Suture besides her. This is locked behind a mid dc 30 perception check. When she wants to give you power, ask the questions first, do not accept the power right away. It is important you do this first. Again, during dialogues with her you will face a difficult Perception check regarding the Suture. That question must be asked. "
There are screenshots below the text I just quoted.
If you refuse the power, I guess you miss one mythic rank, thus failing at one of the hard requirements, which is reaching mythic level 10 at the end.
No, you still get a Mythic rank(because you have enough "willpower"? meh).
The secret ending sucks. Unless you have a diehard craving for Ineluctable. Which I'd be happy if I NEVER went in there again. But that's just me.
Plus your companions saved from being mortal too (Lann especially).
lol theres a reason for that
I'm wondering how the secret ending will work with the post-game DLC
