Missed world map perception check

If I missed the perception check for Crimson Dust (as I must have, although I certainly never saw it in the log) am I ever allowed to find it or is it just Gone, Forever?

As long as you aren't level 20 you should have another chance when you level up again. I think you could also hire a merc with a really high perception and walk around the area again.

Hmm. Ok well I recently leveled up and walked around there and it didn’t roll a check. Maybe crimson dust doesn’t spawn until after wintersun or something?

You should roll a check every level, assuming you increased your perception. IIRC, it rerolls whenever your base Perception changes. Do you have an army near the location? The game rolls a perception check for your party when one of your armies moves past a location. It's somewhat exploitable, because you can buff a character with (Greater) Heroism, etc., then exit to world map and move your armies around to roll perception checks with the buffed perception score.

Has anyone started a game recently and found crimson dust? I’m wondering if it’s like how bone hills was changed.

After leveluip you should get another check, or if you take another character that has not made check yet should work too I guess.

Some locations might eventually appear on map after some events or whatever.

And some locations will definetly not appear before you have finished some other quest/event.

If anyone is searching for this, I found the answer: Crimson Dust doesn't appear on the world map until some combination of these: finishing wintersun, finishing molten scar, and 22 lamashtan.

My guess is that it's fiishing molten scar though.

I found it. On my magus play through. I had lann the only perception dude.

This playthrough only has wintersun done except for stoner tree chick

Also if ur reading this theres a hidden 37 religion check that can occur there. I dunno what it was for. None of my characters passed
