How many Attribute points do you get at the start?
I'm thinking of picking this game up while it's on sale, and at the same time I'm trying to plan a paladin build. I'm only mildly familiar with the Pathfinder system, but I want to make an Angel-Blooded Aasimar for that Strength and Charisma bonus. I've found some online guides about point cost, but nothing about how many points Wrath starts you out with.

depends.

25+- if I'm not mistaken, but increasing stat from 15 to 16 requires to points and it increases to 3 points when increasing 18 to 19 etc. etc. (identical to Kingmaker)

just buy it, if you don't like it, refund.

You have 25 points. The cost depends on the attribute value (without racial bonus/malus, they added/subtrakt after)

7 : -4 points
8: -2 points
9: -1 point
10: 0 points
11: 1 point
12: 2 points
13: 3 points
14: 5 points
15: 7 points
16: 10 points
17: 13 points
18: 17 points

So, you could go

Str 16 (10 points) + 2 Angelbonus: 18
Dex 13 (3 points)
Con 14 (5 points)
Int 8 (-2 points)
Wis 12 (2 points)
Cha 15 (7 points) + 2 Angelbonus: 17

You could go Dex and Cha both 14. Or you could go Int 7 and Dex 14. And so on.

You get 5 points throuh levels andyou can get a potion through crusade management (if you have Woljif), wich gives an inherent bonus + 2 each attribute, wich dont stack with the books you will find, wich gives a bonus of +2 each attribute, so drink the potion and give the books to companions, who benefit most.

So without statboost items/spells you could end with

Str 24 (16 start + 2 Angel + 4 lvl ups + 2 potion)
Dex 15 (13 + 2)
Con 16
Int 10
Wis 14
Cha 20 (15 start + 2 Angel + 1 lvl up + 2 potion

I appreciate the advice. But doesn't plate armor make Dexterity kind of pointless, if I'm just going to be fighting in melee anyway?

Well a bit dex never hurts, because mithril plates exists, wich provides a dex bonus of + 3. And dex help to reflexsaves and initiative rolls.

Dex 13 is requierd for dodge and feats relay on them.

You can go with dex 10 in the beginning. It is not that big difference. I am sure min/max players would recommend another stat-array. But i like it more well rounded.
