Does everything have to be based on existing Pathfinder stuff? Hmm...

It's based on a template, also a creature that you fight in kingmaker at the House at the Edge of Time. Also makes an excellent FU for a dm to throw at their party.

Would a Wizard build even work with the Swarm MP?

Swarm is one of the Paths I haven't tried yet because it still seems broke and/or underpowered overall. With the tabletop template version, absolutely. It practically negates the general squishiness wizards have to contend with and turns any battle into one of attrition. If the mythic path can mirror most of its abilities by end game, any caster would be sufficient.

The path has been fixed, it's viable now, you don't even have to solo it anymore before rank 10 (that was a pain) and you don't need to farm for 10h to get the points to be unkillable, you can eat npcs in quests and in drezen just fine.

Once you get enough points, this path is pretty much the most powerful of all the paths. You can't die (your DR and saves are so high that mobs just do 0 damage) and you can kill anything with just a dot. You don't even need to fight.
For most enemies what I did was just put the dot on the mobs and just retreat. after a minute they would be just dead.

About the class to use with it, you can use any class, it doens't matter, for mages you'll be tanky enough to cast whatever you want and for fighters you'll just one hit everything because your AB and damages will just skyrocket.
