Effect of inevitable Excess DLC on main campgain

I have started a new Last Azlanti (Core) playthrough after the DLC, I knew about the additional power you get when you "officially" start the crusade. What I did not know is that I would find something like this just after. any future little suprises later?

So, my understanding is at ship, all you got was the Inevitable Fate 1/day power/ability.

Subsequently, they seem to have added things for certain Mythic Paths, I know in recent update notes they said there was a new item for Lich, guess you found it.

Lich seemed to be the only one with an additional item (or anything else); for the rest, they say,

"We improved and enhanced the epilogues of the DLC; additionally, Demon and Azata got unique interactions and special endings. Lich got a new artifact, which can be imported into the main campaign."

I guess Demons and Azatas get different ending slides? Woo hoo.

I have finished DLC as Angel and found the Ring as Mythic 1 (Instrument of freedom), there was a glow interaction simmilar to when I interacted with runestones in DLC (weaken/reinforce reality). That is why assume it had something to do with the DLC, if I find another I will make a screenshot.

Would be great if the devs added more stuff for other mythic paths too that completed the DLC.

New artifacts and special abilities. Maybe new ending slides for both the main game and DLC too!!!

from what i read on reddit the items are unlocked by beating the DLC secret boss on normal/hard/core to get up to 3 places where you can find a OP item

Are you referring to The inevitable darkness , or is there another secret spot? I also unlocked some mysterious clock piece earlier in the DLC that I heard supposedly unlocks some treasure vault, but I was never able to find where it was or how to unlock it.

Nothing new and unique to the DLC itself (and there isn't much, no new named items) can be taken with you out of it. Once you play it, it will become obvious why.

From what they posted, Liches can get a new main campaign item, in the main campaign, after completing the DLC.

Can't find the piece, or can't find the secret treasure where it goes (or both)? I'm also interested in where the piece goes - found one place it fits but that didn't seem to do anything.

Intricate Component:
Other Side of Threshold - go through the teleportation portals in the correct order (VI, III, XII, IX). Takes you to a new platform.

What to Do with the Intricate Component???
As mentioned, this might have nothing to do with it, but ...
In the Order State of Threshold, there's a machine just "east" of the portal to Other Side (near where first platform jump would be to reach Inevitable Darkness, but need to be in Order State rather than Paradox State). Can place the intricate component there, but I didn't notice any effect.

Do we have to finish the DLC on Core to access the items in the main campaign on Core difficulty?

Honestly, I have no joy playing it and don't want the troubles of finishing it on Core.

My understanding is the difficulty you finish it on doesn't matter. As long as you do, your next MC gets Inevitable Fate at start of Crusade. (P.S. you can just give it to your chars with TB.)

I don't know what the Lich artefact is or where found; never played it. If you were gonna ask me which Path needed an extra from the DLC ... it's weird they picked that, but whatevs. I was wondering if sabrac found it (or maybe it was something else).

I feel your pain. The DLC was really not what I was expecting. And the Inevitable Update still doesn't seem to have cancelled out most of what I felt made it ... underwhelming.

I really hope that the devs will add more new stuff to the DLC.

More quests (sans puzzles), more mythic path specific endings, more Pathfinder lore based artifacts for other Mythic paths like the one the Lich got, have an actual effect on the main campaign ending, more Mythic path actions in the DLC...

I can confirm the difficulty you end the dlc on doesn't matter (I finished on story as my save crashed before the end Boss and I did not feel like redoing the last dungeon on unfair). I believe the difficulty on which you killed Inevitable Darkness may be important (unfair on my run) as mentioned by geolas. I plan to play Azata (need devil achievment) so no Lich artifact for me. I will update the post if I find anything more.

so you can play the DLC on lowes level till final boss and switch to unfair and beat him to get all bonuses?
