the path to this location is unknown

i'm utterly confused. i left the war camp and have two locations available just in front of kenabres:

the cemetary and the campsite.

if i change to the blue banner (my party) and click on either of these, i get the message "the path to this location is unknown". so i changed to the red banner and defeated the first army ahead, so it revealed the intersection leading to both locations. when i click on the intersection, i do get "the path to this location is unknown" again, this time with a "travel" button though. if i click on it, nothing happens.

any suggestions? what am i doing wrong? :S

From the image, it looks like your party is still in Kenabres. Click on the arrow heading northwest from the city to start moving.

It's like that anywhere on the world map. You can't travel somewhere automatically unless you first find the path to it by traveling there once. Just use the directional arrows to move around the map from waypoint to waypoint.

thank you both, i had figured it out myself earlier. i didn't realize that in this very first spot you don't get those smaller arrows, which kind of indicate in which direction you have to go, and you have to click on the big arrow. but i had to click on it longer, just a short click did nothing for me. similar to having to random click on two overlapping armies a couple of times just so the exchange-button appears finally. frustrating.
