Dragon Disciple vs Golden Dragon
I'd like to know what the key advantages of the Golden Dragon mythic a regular Dragon Disciple: the Dragon transformation is a key part of both but what is it that makes a Golden Dragon shine above a Dragon Disciple and also if you go Dragon Disciple is it a good idea to go Golden Dragon or go with another mythic path. Each of the mythic paths have their own strengths and weaknesses I'd like to know what the perks of being a Golden Dragon when I could go Dragon Disciple; the main reason I ask this I'd like to play a Golden Dragon at some point but I want to make sure I can make a build that doesn't risk overlaping with the Mythic Path.
Sidenote I've been hearing that Golden Dragons and Angels should have their alignments reversed because I've heard chatter that a Golden Dragon tends to be lawfully good and the Angel is more a neutral good in traditional Pathfinder so can anyone let me know if that is basically a pointless arguement

The biggest knock on gold dragon is that the dragon from isn't really any stronger than the best version of the spell. Dragon disciple isn't anywhere near as strong though, but I could see a DD build going GD just fine.

The way it's implemented could be a lot better, but the power seems pretty good to me

Thanks for that information; I think the Golden Dragon though could use some buffs and some additional content that way its comparable to some of the more developed Mythic paths that have a good deal of character: it would also help it if it wasn't a path you choose after you've already committed to given path it kind of in my opinion hurts progression a bit if you've already chosen a path and then you are given the option to change it.
Anyway my opinion on the Mythic Paths is they are a bit of a mixed bag, some are extremely good and a good amount effort put into storytelling, the classes mechanics and the ways you get access to them like the Azata or the Demon but others are well lacking on some features and their implamentations can be regarded as questionable I'm looking at Swarm and Legend in particuler, the former is VERY niche and very difficult to build a character around both from a gameplay class build and a roleplay standpoint as it requires a special type of person to forfit what you were born as and really none of the in-game portrait selections (Even with some portrait packs added) stand out as somebody I could see turning themselves into a devouring insect swarm. As for Legend my gripe about it is when you get it in the game as like Swarm and Golden Dragon you'll have already chosen a path and the in-game reasoning basically is you give up your powers because Iomedae told you to do so which is really counter to being a master of your destiny because you would be essentially doing what a goddess commands you to do and really I think Legend lacks in features to make it really stand out and the fact that it locks you out of the secret ascension ending which I think honestly is what Iomedae was trying to achieve by trying to convince you to give up your powers which is very self-centered and a jealous move from her if she was intending to do that, because let me be honest I'd make a better deity then her as I wouldn't just sit back and let my worshipers die for me I'd be down on planet leading the armies to stop the Demontide and send it back into the Abyss. My point being is that some classes are great enough that I'd consider doing multiple runs just to play a different path while some are well forgettable and not worth a playthrough for them as they stand at the moment

I spent my entire dragon playthrough in half-dragon form, saw no benifit nor reason to use the form. The half-Dragon form is really powerful though, more powerful than the DD stat wise, hp wise, and spell damage wise. Aru made me change from demon to Dragon in that play through.... so far my Demon and Azata have not seen eye to eye with Iomedae... finding that she's not being entirely honest.

Dragon is a good path, if your character is a conflicted character, that is second guessing themselves, or regretting becoming a demon, lich etc and seeks a way out without taking a chance with Iomedae, specially if they suspect she's not honest.

I wouldn't take my chances with Iomedae I find her lawfully stupid at best and at worse a jealous goddess trying to pull an Aphrodite and stopping a mortal from becoming a deity by throwing impossible tasks at them; I'd agree if you are conflicted about your path then Golden Dragon is the best choice because then you'll still have the option of going for the best ending of the game its hard to achieve but WORTH it in my honest opinion

I just rp'd my character like As if the soul graph had heavily influenced her personality and behavior to the point she may as well be her daughter, minus having any intact memories and just rp'd her like her daughter. Which fit in well with the Azata path and sort of slipped into the Ascended ending very smoothly tbh. Just ran out of time since came out of the Abyss two three months before the the time.... and definitely not for the Ascension time, so had to toybox the research (Sped it up) otherwise was not making it before the year deadline for Demon Lord recovery. Should of dragged my ass until it worked out to come out of the abyss after gorzan.... by dragging ass in act 3.

Also Iomedae got the finger in that playthrough, my Azata did not approve.

Man the timing is easily what will screw you over the most: especially considering you are traveling into a plane where time is very reletive and hard to calaculate

Problem is you get hit by an abyssal entity that causes you to loose six months.... six whole months.... meaning it can take three playthroughs to get it right... and because of the oversights in the codes, can't do it without datamined info since the research omits their results. But that six month jump can make or break your ability to do the ascension, so your character learns about it, but too late.
