way to turn off weather effects?
So the game runns buttery smooth for me, but the second it starts snowing or raining my FPS tanks to 13 FPS down form 60 in the middle of a fight. Is there a way to turn off weather effects? just the visuals?

I have missed that function too. Might be a good idea to submit a suggestion via ALT+B ingame.

Yeah. My CPU is old, and some maps become obscenely laggy. I've noticed a correlation with weather effects and some textures. As in, if there is rain/snowing/plumes of smoke and fire, the game grinds to a halt. I wish I could adjust the weather effects from the settings, but currently I cannot.

Im just in Blackwater, and its suuuper-laggy. Although with that map I think its got to do with the textures. I can play somewhat normally on many maps, but the really large ones or the ones with weather effects lag out to kingdom come. The memory usage seems really high too in large maps (5ish GB).

ps. I believe the game is too CPU-intensive in certain places. (I have a RTX 3070, but a 5-year old I7 cpu)

You can turn off camera shaking effects (in graphics section I believe, doesn't alter difficulty settings, just visuals) - doing this helped me a lot with rain/storms).

Oh, that is a great tip! Thank you!

Sure:)

Now looking back, it doesn't seem that being CPU-intensive is actually the issue. The game wasn't even using all of the resources apart from graphic card utilization (I have RTX 3070). It was still mega-laggy, like 5fps on certain maps. I can only conclude that its an optimization issue.

i Think its this as well, becuse in literally any dungeon map, its fine, out in the open on a clear day? fine, 60 FPS buttery smooth.

Maps like retaking drezen, i enjoyed 13 FPS then entire time outside.

Most dungeons are fine, whenever there are fire/smoke effects or other animated elements (conveyor belts at Blackwater dungeon) it lags out. I noticed for example firestorm spell causing lag.
