Is Lich worth it endgame or swarm better?

Im on my third playthrough and never been evil, im currently Lich, is it worth taking to end game or switching to swarm more fun?

For now (at least for me as a double bloodline sorcerer) devouring certain enemy for swarn does literally nothing. I mean, I devour, the game blocks like there is supposed to be a cinematic or something, then nothing, every swarn is friendly but I'm still an azata...

Swarm seems to be the option for people who want to play top tier masochistic nihilists. Not that I've tried it - just hearsay.

Go Lich over Swarm though best option is to not fully ascend as a Lich and go pure Necro, reason being pure Lich is not worth it; if you want to go down the Lich path go Necromancer just stop before ascension because that will weaken you as you'll lose a large amount of things and be unable to get certain achievements along with the Secret Ending. Swarm though as it stands is way TOO niche and needs a VERY specific character build to make it viable from both a gameplay class standpoint and a roleplay perspective, its also the least polished of the Mythics and has been the source of the most bugs of any of the paths at the moment so definately for both a person who is maschistic as in they want to deal with the bugs and weaknesses of the class and for the Nihilist because Swarm is all about just destroying everything and anything in its way beyond reason and beyond insanity. My advice go Azata or Aeon and take the option to take the secret evil mythic path that is offered from both or you could just go chaotic evil and be a demon yourself.

Personally prefer Lich. Swarm is interesting but very much a late game thing and still has some pretty bad bugs (hehe) with it.

Not that Lich doesn't either. But you start getting into it a lot earlier, it's less of a pain to unlock, and it seems less of a chance to bug out compared to Swarm (if only slightly)

edit: Also you don't lose access to nearly as much content going Lich. Possible spoilers but you basically lose all companions and many interactions by going the Swarm path

going lich is giving the middle finger to everyone, including pharasma, was worth every choice i made later on, even anevia goes full stupid becuase " mu irabeth ded" and you can do like " i got you fam, just drop dead and i'll make use of you again hahaha

Afaik with swarm EVERYone leaves you. Everyone. That might be somewhat boring.

ps. I always planned to go full wizard and full lich. On my first playthrough currently and so far loving it.

Secret evil path is also complete "meh" as happens too late (act 5).

No, but you do get a self-replenishing undead army that can wreck almost everything in the game, sooo... not bad.
