Not that Lich doesn't either. But you start getting into it a lot earlier, it's less of a pain to unlock, and it seems less of a chance to bug out compared to Swarm (if only slightly)
edit: Also you don't lose access to nearly as much content going Lich. Possible spoilers but you basically lose all companions and many interactions by going the Swarm path
ps. I always planned to go full wizard and full lich. On my first playthrough currently and so far loving it.
