act 3 ivory sanctum bug?

So I'm at the ivory sanctum and I go inside and everything seems fine. I go forward, meet that chick, agree to kill Xanthir for her. If I go to her room she isn't there. When I enter the lab to kill Xanthir, after the cut scene he just disappears and I've cleared the dungeon and cant find him. So it seems both of the bosses have just disappeared and I cant complete the ivory sanctum.

Am I missing something? Ive opened everything except a door that was just outside of the ladys room but ive read that opens after killing Xanthir.

If you talk to Jerribeth, she should be busy pinning bits of Xanthir to her bug collection on the wall ...

I only meet her at the beginning once when she asks me to kill Xanthir and then I cant find her again.

When you have an issue and start checking, make sure to make a general check to get faster to a possible solution:

■ Is the version you are playing the latest?

■ Are you using mods? If yes, do the issues still persist when you uninstall the mods?

Just to confirm, you *did* kill Xanthir, didn't you? Or do you mean he just disappeared after the first time you met him where you fought his minions?

Because if the latter, you need to leave Ivory Sanctum through the other outside door on the east side; you will then be able to re-enter through the entrance into his actual lab where you deal with him.

In the cut scene where he kills a goon, throws a swarm at you and you have to use mobility/athletics to get rid of it. After unlocking the demons in the restraints his model just disappears and the fight starts.

And he isnt doing something like going first and casting invisibility or anything, his model just straight up vanishes.

That is not the actual Xanthir fight... you should keep playing first instead looking for a bug there.

And as i mentioned in the first post I did continue and cleared the dungeon from every door I found except the one that opens after killing xanthir. I even went outside and and killed the vrocks outside.

Yeah, you need to leave the sanctum through the East side and you'll be able to get where you need to. You haven't actually had the actual Xanthir confrontation yet.

^^Did you have a confrontation with more monsters on the bridge?^^

no, it was a dead end that had an athletics check to some vrocks. Only door I cant seem to open is this door in the north that requires a key that I cant seem to find even after redoing the sanctum 3 times.

IIRC, you get athletics check for vrocks going one direction from that exit; if you go the other direction, you should get more monsters, and then a cutscene leading into another battle. Try leaving through it again and going the opposite way from the athletics check.

Is it through Jerribeth's room? After I thought maybe it was a bug after walking through all the rooms I looked at a map and that's the only hallway I cant find. I assumed it was behind the locked door I don't have the key for. I guess I will just have to keep redoing the sanctum in case its hidden behind some check.

I came across what looks like a bug in Ivory Sanctum as well. The mimics go invisible the instant the fight starts and I cant see them with anything like true sight or glitterdust. They can see/attack me and I can AoE them, but its very strange. I can't find a way to get them targettable with any resource.

Is this an intended mechanic?
