Alchemist mini boss in act 4 has 6 attack in 1 turn, is it normal ? (Spoiler)

I'm talking about the 1st time you meet Mutasafen in the 2nd area of act 4.

Despite a protection against energy spell, he can still kill 1 or 2 character in 1 turn and is quite hard to hit.

After 3 tries, some buffs and tactics I could beat him but with 2 characters at very low life.
The true question is : is it normal he can get 6 attacks (throwing bombs) in 1 turn or is it a bug ?

how does he kill your party? i only cast a resist energy fire communal and he barely does any damage, then i just kill him before he can attack again since his ac is not that high, playing on hard difficulty, unless you are on unfair, don't know how difficulty he is then.

Rapid Shot does work with Bombs, so that and some innate haste and iterative attacks, I guess?

Think Owlcat is throwing shade with that alchemist build. Alchemist was the easiest way to breeze through Kingmaker, you could literally hit any AC and do giant AOE damage.

I don't know if you have it on-hand, but weirdly enough, Banishment/Dismissal works on him, and his saves aren't great.

I was just able to insta-kill him in the first round.

As far as getting 6 attacks, I think that's possible. Fast Bombs, Rapid Shot, and possibly some kind of Haste effect, like Babbles said

Ahh yes, I forgot Fast Bombs, which also stacks with Rapid Shot - Jubilost will not be impressed I forgot about him :(

I forgot that: I'm playing in normal.
That's exactly what I did and while some of my characters were barely damaged, other had their life going down. And at each try it seemed this was other characters. I checked and they had the fire resist spell on them.
As for his AC what I saw is that even Arueshalae had a hard time touching him.
Most attacks were x / 20, his AC was above 40.

Anyway, it looks like a normal build and it was not a bug then, thanks for the confirmation.

well he is one of the 2 fights I gave up on unfair... in normal he is easily doable.... if none of the above work someone should have the resist energy commual spell. cast that at fight start and go get him. also you can suprise him with your archer getting a full attack on him if you are lucky to get a crit while he is flatfooted the encounter is over in normal (this wont work on unfair cause he has like 300 -400 hp.
