They seemed to imply you could get the actual spells eventually somehow and only need to use potions/scrolls early on.
And because potion is cheap & will last for 1 hour - it's quite broken OP combo.
They get spells from level 3. If you unroll "Details" page (it will be in the left bottom part of the screen) while picking class/archetype during character creation you can see their whole spell progression.
Clickbait build guides are bad. They're optimizing the wrong game because they didn't have time to understand this one.
Just wear your armor. You have Medium prof and several great Mediums in the game.
Can't help but agree, Archmage armor is nice but it's not always worth trying to cram it into every single build. Armor works, so don't be afraid to use it.
The idea of a Bloodrager is to, well, Rage, and that reduces AC anyway. The point is that the Bloodrager hits like truck and kills stuff before they get a chance to hit them. A Bloodrager will typically use a whacking great 2H weapon so as to max damage output. This can be a reach weapon, such as a Glaive for example, in which case the Bloodrager can smite enemies from behind their tank front line dealing huge damage with impunity a lot of the time. Especially when Enlarged.
After L4 Bloodrager start getting spells and by L6 they will get the level 2 spell Mirror Image. A Bloodrager sporting Mirror Image is NOT something you would like to meet down a dark alley at night. Very difficult to even scratch them before they cut you to ribbons.
In short I would hold this Archmage Armour mythic feat is at best little more than a gimmick for a Bloodrager and at worst a waste of a mythic feat that could have been better used for something much more useful for such a character. Mythic Endless Rage being a prime example.
