Btw. if you mean the quest RIGHT AFTER captuiring Drezen, it is not middlegame quest... more like early game quest :D
While we're here, most settlements should either be built ENTIRELY "civilian" or "military". I think it happens later in Act 3, but you eventually get some building options that don't work if you try mixing inns with garrison type buildings.
*There are a couple bonuses that effect "fighting within this territory", but they're generally small enough bonuses that I never really bothered with them. Also, if you're doing the crusade properly, your front line should move pretty far pretty fast... I would say only the last couple regions to the southwest would be worth building those "region" bonus buildings.
