Mount - Bloodrider

Sooo, I tried to look for a good class starting before going Hellknight, thought I might start with Bloodrider because they not only get a mount, but also have some other nice benefits.

Now I got to Lv5 and finally unlocked my animal companion, only to find out it's Level 2 and thus medium, so not mountable for my Aasimar.... Why?
Why do we get the not only a companion, but also the ability to MOUNT that ability at Lv5, when we only get a Lv2 medium companion... what's even the point on getting the ability to mount at this point?

Given that mounted combat is bug as can be in both the beta and main branch it better your not sitting on that thing anyway.

Can't you take boon companion to bring the level up?

Also unless you take a horse you can't mount any animal until level 7

Ehh, in P:K some classes had somewhat penalized animal companions whose level is lower than usual and they needed "Boon Companion" feat to compensate for that.
It's probably the same here.

Yea, that's my point. It make no sense for me to do it like that....

I'll try to look out for that "boon companion" feat
