So only female character of power?
I'm in 40 hours in and since the begining of the game there is an OBVIOUS pattern....
While i enjoy the game i just can't unseen how the game put every female character on a pedestal while most of them are unsuferable.
Also literally 80% of the story main characters are female, right we are for female 'emporwment' etc but damn this could have been made less obvious.

!!! ACT 1 and 2 SPOILER AHEAD!!!

The only man of power story wise in Kenabres was a bad man (Hulrun), then Stanton who is a muppet for a demoness of power.
All Dragon seems to all be female?
The army scout lead is female (Anevia)
The legendary hero is a female (Yaniel)
The knight commander is female (Irabeth)
The crusade leader before you is female (Galfrey)
The traitor is female (Nurah)
The plot mastermind is a female (Areelu)

During 20hours in ACT 1 before getting Regill, my squad was constitued of 5 females on 6 members.

... You will scream mysoginist or sexist and i don't care because you'll be wrong. My point is even if it's a fantasy game there is still heavy inspiration from medieval history with crusade etc and having almost 80% of my the surrounding cast being female just pull me out of the game during dialogue, specialy when they are lecturing the player or complain.

And btw I don't dislike all female character in this game, I find Ember funny, i like Seelah and Wenduag effeciency.

you get before regil

seelah, camilla, wenduag, ember and nenio for girls

lann, woljif, daeran and sosiel for boys

so that is with regill, 4 girls and 5 boys or 5 girls and 4 boys

looks even to me

then 90 % of npc are female. i dont see that equality anywhere, and this comes from a woman lol.

Fantasy writers are in no way obliged to base gender roles on European Medieval societies. That's not to say I think the writing in the game is flawless, far from it, but what gender people are is really irrelevant.

in my comparison i already named 5 boys, so you want to tell me that if you would not meet any additional boy, you are going to to meet 45 more girls?

I guess you're forgetting Hilor, Hulrun, Ramien, Horgus, Storyteller, Sull, Chaleb, Klaem, Joran, the Hand, Yaker, Ciar, etc.

Stop being disengenous, none of these male NPC are main characters, most of them don't even have a portrait and appear for a one time quest.
And when they do have a little importance in the story, these male character are scum or traitors.

During the whole Crusade stuff in act2, ALL leading NPC are female.

You've had to ignore, or not get to yet, a bunch of characters to even come near this kind of opinion.
There's like 3 male dragons to the one female so that's weighted the other way actually.
Act I does feel weighted to the fairer sex in terms of direct authority figures, but it is not in terms of influential characters in the city.
While the party members are close enough to even, as earlier pointed out, there's a ton of major npc's to even that out as well. Plus your councils (2 male, 2 female heads of).
I could even say 3 of the big 5 are female, and there's more then enough guys to fill important roles throughout the story, especially in mythic paths (or multiple, like the Devil guy).

I personally feel like Owlcat went a bit too far trying to even things up actually.

Influential characters include many, many, beings you bump into often a few times throughout the story. pay attention to them, and their roles, and you'll find there's far less disparity between them.

Jokes on you OP, this world has polymorph and THEY'RE ALL WOMEN!!! BOO :steammocking:

Are you mad that women are the majority on your own planet Earth, too?

Just close this thread, it's going to be a statistically significant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Why do you not link posts when there you have gone off on other games for having far too many male figures in power... Surely a person so focused on equality will have s string of them.

For years now many of your type has banged on about "how it does not matter" and "What are the feminist crying about?" and yet ONE yes one game where females seem to take lead and you are crying your little eyes out, it's really sad how easily hurt and offended you are.

The list above is almost everyone from Angel and Azata mythic path and some from Lich, Trickster, and Dragon mythic path. There's no meaningful difference between the # of men and the # of women. You're being paranoid of PC. Seeing enemies and problems everywhere one sees is what essentially constitutes PC. So you're just another PC.

I am starting to think that some people are just pretending to be offended just to trash talk women. You just can't see a woman having any short of recognition in anything. not even in a fantasy game.
Further more all the females you mentioned are one way or another during the plot defeated by a male. with the exception of areelu.
