Why doesn't nabasu show up for me in Market Square?

I wanted to see that fight on hard and get an achievement, but I just get normal necromancers. Played through whole market square 3 times already, but haven't seen Nabasu at all.

Hidden event timer.

As far as I know, you need to beat the necromancer first before you get to see the Nabasu next time you visit the Market Square.

I believe the Nabasu only spawns after the tavern attack, and you need to kill the necromancer before the tavern attack.

That I do not know. It could be as well that you missed them already. I remember once I could not beat the Nabasu and tried to come back on a later date and could not find them any more.

In another case I got there pretty late and there was no hint of the Nabasu at all.

Maybe one of the ToyBox users, assuming they understand the stuff better, can answer your question more reliably.

Yes the Nabasu will spawn after the tavern attack.

This - the tavern fight triggers a map refresh on the marketplace and yields some new exp sources / opponents.

Good to know. I did not make the connection between tavern defense and Market Square. I was under the constant assumption it is just a timer thing.

I've played the early chapters through many times with different characters. What Nabasu is this? Do I go to the area where I killed the Necromancer after the Tavern attack to find him?

I assume this is supposed to be that Nabasu that shows up and turns 4 soldiers to ghouls gloating how much he enjoys killing and then disappears?

Playing on Core difficulty or above, find the nabasu demon on the streets of Kenabres and kill him.

That’s what I’ve done and haven’t missed it yet. Make sure to click on the explanation after killing the Necro. The Elf guy will give you a Death Ward scroll if you kill Kaylessa (and she drops +3 Bow).

That’s what I’ve done and haven’t missed it yet. Make sure to click on the explanation after killing the Necro. The Elf guy will give you a Death Ward scroll if you kill Kaylessa (and she drops +3 Bow).

I do not think Kaylessa is related to the Nabasu or the necromancer. Killing her early will lock you out of the follow up quests (and is questionable to begin with depending on your moral alignment).
