[Daeran Spoilers]Oooooooook... I'm tired of killing my companions. Help!
Is there ANY WAY to stop him from murdering Liotr?
I am NOT killing Liotr myself. He is a good man.

My options were:
[1]Kill Daeran
[2]Kill Liotr
[3]Hand Daeran to the Inquisition

I picked [3] hoping there would be a trial and I could save him. At which point he killed Liotr and all guards. Saying he finally did something by choice.

WRONG CHOICE.

Is there ANY WAY to save both Daeran and Liotr? I really liked Daeran.

And by Iomedae my other option is... Sosiel... I will cry

Well i had to kill Daeran too but my main was a paladin so there is no way i'd kill Liotr or let Daeran kill him. He is better than Sosiel yes but also he was evil, so i did what he asked for.

I’m a Hellknight. Iomedaen. LG. So closeish to what you played maybe. I have looked the other way on A LOT of things but really he murdered 10 people and Liotr in front of me and said he did it on his own! Yay!

WHAT THE HECK?

Isn’t there a way??? Any way? I’ll roll back 20 hours to pick the mcguffin I missed!

It's an either/or situation you can't keep them both alive.

Aaaaall... right... lets count. Skipping over the stupid rude kitsune I briefly met:

Cam is butchering people in crazy rituals. One down
Wendu is butchering people... for fun? to eat? Dunno... dont care. Two down.
Graybor tells me: pay me or I'll kill you. I told him he can try. Three down.
Daeran murderhobos a squad of soliers and a good major NPC in front of me. Four down.

I'm left with:
- Seelah: Too nice but I like her
- Sosiel: Who complained about my Order till I kicked him out
- A child that I have not used.

Should I expect that Sosiel will turn out to be a Lamashtu worshiper?
Seelah a secret assassin?
Is Embers niceness a cover to lure people to their deaths?

I don't think so. I tried fessing up to him about the Other, but that makes you port to a place where you can fight it 1 on 1 or flee. I'm too nub to do it, but according to others even if you defeat it, Daeran dies and you cannot raise him from the dead. He did pay someone to raise him after 1 year, so maybe he's alive in the ending sliders, who knows?

I play chaotic characters, so killing Liotr isn't *such* a big deal, but I still don't want to. He doesn't deserve death. Without him, Daeran would still be possessed after all, but I also don't want to kill Daeran or have him locked up in an asylum (might as well kill him in that case). I really wish there was another way to do this, esp. as it also seems hypocritical considering you yourself have a power that's ultimately of demonic origin even if you aren't on one of the evil paths, and arguably you could give into the rage at some point in the future - so what right do you have to say to Daeran: "Listen up wuss, ya gonna get possessed by that thingy again and it's likely gonna make ya "gobble up" nippers, so off to the Inquisitor asylum, chop, chop!" (yes, I hate it when demons use the term "gobble up" in the game, lol). Not to mention, you could also have engaged in sexual intercourse with multiple demons in front of him at that point . The entire thing just seems tagged on as an excuse for his "evil" alignment, or rather for him still being considered evil after the Other is expelled (if I were to guess his alignment based on his character, I'd have assumed chaotic neutral).

Having said all that, even if I played lawful, I'd be really struggling with this as Daeran is the one party member I cannot do without - he almost always stays standing, heals, resurrects, prevents/removes annoying effects, summons and does hella lightning damage.

Remember the loading screen help. You can't save everybody no matter how hard you tried.

I agree. And its not just his heals I actually like the character. As it is:

SEEEEEEEEELAH! You're a Pranked Oracle now!

I liked Liotr. He seemed like a good, caring guy and generally not fanatical etc. Kinda like the good people you need about. That's why I picked 'Hand Daeran to the Inquisition'I thought there would be a quest to go to a trial and set him free. I don't even see a CG character killing Liotr with no regrets anyway... but thats me.

As for calling Daeran out on the Other: Yup, what you said. I did it in Ch2 and then reloaded.

ps. Intercourse? I AM NOT MARRIED! HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST I WOULD FORNICATE AND WITH DEMONS TOO??? :P

I know right? Even as chaotic I've lost Greybor, Cam and Wendu. You forgot Lann, but it's not hard to lose him either. Then there's Regill, who one can also lose quite easily (I assume?), but I doubt you did being a hellknight yourself.

As for Ember - Personally i think she's neither a child, nor mentally challenged. I reckon she's another supernatural entity (the eyes and certain comments). Still no way I'd use a person everyone in the game world perceives as a child (including apparently the MC; same as the MC apparently doesn't notice anything suspicious about Cam), and who's also a pacifist.

As for Sosiel, considering he can kill his own brother, I don't think he should counts as good anymore after that, if it happens. He's a wet blanket in general though.

I just did it yesterday and it worked for me too. I handed Daeran to the inquisition and he didn't attack.
I play loyal good cavalier, angel mythic path, took the good sentences anywhere.
In this scene, I bluffed all the way (and succeded at all checks), then killed the "other".

The outcome of this quest might be influenced by how you treated him all the way, and/or how you behaved generally. Being good seems to impact several NPC reactions to me.

Yup Sosiel is a wet blanket. I know it was die or stand by Trever but I lost respect for him

I get along great with Lann, Reg and Arue. Even Woljif my stupid lil bro.

As for Ember: It it my characters view (and NOTHING TO BE DISCUSSED HERE), might use her in Trickster run.

Yeah he did mention something about how he thought you were trying to make a good person out of him. There must be some specific flags somewhere.
