Shield Slams, Spiked Shields and shield slam feats still bugged?

Is this still broken all to hell? I've been playing a shield slam build but spiked shields still don't work. Been having to make do with basic shields as they end up doing more damage/have better hit. Spiked shields seem to be coded incorrectly and just plain bugged.

I ask this because I've finally gotten a badass +5 spiked shield, The Undying Love of the Hopebringer, but it's garbage in my hands compared to my +4 heavy shield without spikes.

Has there been any official word on this? I've looked occasionally and can't seem to find anything.

Has it ever been fixed for you? Tons of things don't work in this ridiculous game. Owlcat releases their games in such terrible states. It's so stupid and very scummy. I haven't tried shield slam myself, but maybe I'll test it when I can find some enemies next.

The Undying Love shield is supposed to also heal your party members when the shieldbearer is healed, but of course that doesn't work either...
