Greybor endings question

I datamined a little on companion endings, and found out that you can convince him to retire to his family. But when I played, I always ended up with him just keeping being an assassin. I heard that one of the ways to do that is to scare him out of the job, but I don't wanna antagonise him. I do want to see him retire, tho. Does anyone know how you can do that without the antagonising?

You can convince him into it, but.. he'll look disappointed and probably won't like it much.

I dunno, I was always on good terms with him, simply recommended to leave assassin job for family during final dialog in a tavern after his final companion quest - boom - in ending slides he retires for his daughter.

there is a good and bad one
if you want the bad one just beat him up and tell him to go back to his family
if you want the good one, be his bestest buddy and suggest him going back to his family

There is a third way. Finish the game as Aeon and choose not to be remembered your PC by your companions. Then Greybor will not become a hired killer at all, but will peacefully live his life with his family.
