Is Irabeth supposed to be an anagram, of Aribeth from neverwinter nights?
There names are practically the same....
Both are paladins of the god of justice (benevolent) in their settings.
Have pretty similar sounding surnames to boot.
Both are in love with their lord's /lady's spymaster.
Both fail miserably in their duty and need the player to put them back in track (though the second went a bit further into the dark side)
Both are trying (and failing) to defend their city.
Both are given s... by a villainous figure of religious authority, one by an inquisitor the other by a cleric of helm.
Even though it is not a blatant a plagiarism the similarities are giving me a deza vu,

Irabeth is definately a hotter version of Aribeth.
And Anevia is a more masculine Fenthick.

Assumed it's play on latin word "ira" (which can be translated as anger/wrath) that refers both to the AP tittle (with her being paladin and all) and her orc heritage. Good name for her.

But your idea might be correct - the game is full of references.

Frankly, i'd say this is asking in the wrong place. She's from the original Tabletop module.

I had the same thought when I first saw her name.

Aribeth>Irabeth tho

Yes because Neverwinter Nights totally wasn't a 3.5ed game, which PF is based on.

That's not what he's saying. He's saying Owlcat didn't create the character. The authors of the original tabletop game did. So they wouldn't know the answer.

Well maybe he module creator was inspired by aribeth. I wonder if there is a way to make Irabeth fall that hard now :P

I take it you didn't factor in the fallen version of Aribeth ;)

Half of what's in Wrath is a blatant reference to something else in a popular CRPG of the past. The kobold Bard = Deekin, Irabeth = Aribeth, Blackwater = the Mind Flayer Dungeon... etc. There are so many of these "references" it's not even funny.

Yeah, made a post about this some time ago too. The moment I "met" Irabeth the thought crossed my mind. Soooo many similarities, names and paladins and type of partner and vibe.. it's the same character, redone as lesbian orc.
