Not taking her to nocticula is a big mistake.
Best laugh i had in a while and it is a must for a good ending.
So has anyone left her quest to fail? I really don't want to take a stupid child, that talks such nonsense I can't keep a straight face myself, to the ruler of the City.
I did it in the Beta to see what happens. I'm ok with passing it up as long as she doesn't ... die or something else very horrible?
I disagree but that's off topic and I really don't want to go into it. Just venting a bit.
So.. I'll sit back and wait for an answer to this, if anyone knows:
Is it relatively safe to ignore her?
Make it your personal story with your personal decision would say. I can relate and I did not think fondly of the idea bringing her to Nocticula.
Maybe you decide to do that on your next playthrough? ;)
Just don't want her to end up in the slums / begging or something. I'd look up her endings but it would be a big spoiler. Ideally she's become more pragmatic but I doubt that.
Personally, I did like Ember and thought she could become a powerful witch and useful for my party. Unfortunately (or fortunately for me), my Woljif returned to me and I also got Arushalae, so Ember has to sit on the sidelines and preach to her growing cult while I go off on adventures without her. I'll still do my best to protect her though whenever her followers take advantage of her or if she gets herself into any more trouble from being too innocent. If everyone could be like her, I think the world would be a better place, but unfortunately most of us are pretty selfish and narcissistic-like myself.
I would like to go off on some adventures with just myself, Woljif, and Arushalae. Maybe Regill could come too...lol I don't really care too much about any of the other characters in this game, but I need them because they are powerful so I do my best to keep them happy and follow their advice. Plus more companions = more quests = more experience / loot
i mean she wont become evil, but she will change
Nope, sorry. I asked a question. I don't want any debate and I'll be the first to report any off topic rants. The point is: getting a decent ending for Ember.
That would be great. I have told her a few times to be more realistic etc. Never chosen the outright rude options. Like I've been picking the 'You're too nice and this wont work' dialogs not the 'You're an idiot, shut up' ones.
Addendum and personal opinion: I see it like the secret ending and any other any other person question. With a role play game like this, the biggest enjoyment you do not get by something like maximum score or collect all achievements in as little attempts as possible.
In fact I consider it spoiling the real enjoyment of finding out by playing. Especially with a role play game like this.
What I am trying to say and want to get across is: you do not gain anything if you force yourself as an e.g. lawful good character to play out of character. As paladin you might even fall. The story still fills up and become whole again, even if your decisions are not quest fulfilling.
I am thinking of it like with Greybor in the other thread. My character being against opportunists and having him experienced as scumbag is a whole story. Same like when I got to know his friendly side and him becoming a loyal comrade in arms. Those are two stories.
If anyone force themselves to make a decision, because either they look it up or they fear to miss out something, they only harm themselves. That is making out of two or more stories just one story.
Of course a lot will argument it does not matter, since you still can do it differently next time. But the more you think about it during your current playthrough, it is your current playthrough which will suffer. There are plenty of situation the game creates where I thought : damn, I wish I did that different. And that is fun and experience itself to ... well, experience that certain feeling. Since yesterday I feel traumatised about a decision I made leading children to the death (ingame!!!). But it is one whole story. And without looking it up and moving forward instead of making a time leap by reloading, I know next time there might be another story already waiting for me. In the meanwhile I get to experience my current playthrough in full.
Yep, I see it like jump potions and so on. Why should I do anything to decrease my fun of exploring? But that is a personal preference. ^^
