Raising Leadership Crusade Statistic

Aside from the infrequent random throne room event, is there anything the player can do to actively raise this kingdom statistic? No buildings or relics provide this as far as I can tell, nor does winning combats or raising other Crusade Kingdom stats. Suggestions?

You gain Leadership XP when your generals win crusade battles

Odd I win many battles and it does not appear to move.

So once you command drezen get lots of lvl 1 generals then

As long as you can pay for them, they get stupid expensive the more you get. And as long as you have enough forces to give them decent enough armies to win fights, which can be tricky.
