Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

Full list of other PF Adventure Paths (and possible campaign mechanics)
I got bored recently and started thinking about what other Adventure Paths Owlcat could adapt. I originally started thinking about it when people were talking about what campaign-scale mechanics would be in Owlcat's next game (like how Kingmaker had kingdom building and WotR has crusade management) and realised... mechanics like that are actually in the minority for the Adventure Path line, Kingmaker and WotR was as large-scale as they got.

Now I've heard someone say that Owlcat isn't a fan of Pathfinder 2nd Edition (which is disappointing to me if its true because I vastly prefer 2e's mechanics and it's a much easier-to-balance system so we wouldn't get all the complaints about bloated enemy stats we've gotten in this game and its predecessor) but I included the released and announced 2e APs just for a complete list.

And if nothing else, some people here might find it an interesting read just to see what other options Owlcat had for what to adapt into a video game or just see how long the Adventure Path line has been around. Enjoy the read.[docs.google.com]

OH WOW! I never knew there were so many adventure paths! I was under the assumption Kingmaker was taking a lot of them and merging it into one game. Then this one might be like the next 1/3 of them, and assumed there might be one more game after this. So maybe from the looks of it there are potentially enough of these for the next decade or more to make!
Yeah, Kingmaker was all one AP. Paizo tried to make each one run from 1st level through to, if not 20th, then at least into the high-teens (they more reliably started hitting 20th one or two encounters before the final boss after they released 2e since it's XP progression and such is easier for the adventure writers to predict). They're released in six parts - one part a month usually - and tried to write them where each part can be adapted to run as a standalone adventure if the GM wants to run that adventure but not the entirety of the AP.

The newer three-part APs in 2e, starting with Abomination Vaults, was first experimented with in their sci-fi spin-off game, Starfinder (set in the same universe as Pathfinder, just a few millennia in the future) and it seems to be adding a nice break between the massive 1st-through-20th level ones and lets them tell a shorter and more focused story.

Great read thank you. I discussed some options in a threat earlier today titled future campaigns and someone shared this thread. Great stuff. Fingers crossed for staying in fantasy and away from scifi, my 2 cents.

Well staying away from sci-fi isn't a guarantee. See the Iron Gods adventure path (although that's more "barbarian tribes living in high-tech wreckage and working with what they've managed to understand"). And Pathfinder 2e just got a book with a whole bunch of tech-related stuff. Clockpunk stuff from the Ancient Thassilonian Empire, a playable Automaton race left over from the Jistkan Imperium (someone in the Defender's Heart in chapter 1 talks about them and their massive war with Ancient Osirion), tesla-coil like stuff coming out of Irrisen by way of Ustalav (and heavily implied to be derived from actual Tesla coils brought to Irrisen from Earth), etc.
Right, yea tracking those....I don't mind it mixed in, sprinkles, or existing lorewise...I just hope we don't get a full blown scifi adventure relative to a fantasy centered tale with sci fi elements sprinkled in etc...

I dunno if they dislike 2E so much as have spent several years developing a 1E engine that they'd have to rewrite; still, haven't seen any direct comments on the matter. Beyond that, the only AP they've said they aren't doing is Reign of Winter, because of its tone and handling of Russian history.
Don't forget that PF2 only came out relatively recently as well. Adapting it for WotR would likely have delayed release by quite a bit, since the changes are pretty substantial.

From what i read It was more like a matter of the AP was to linear , they are concentrating on AP that has these secondary gameplay modes first . I mean it's a fairy tale , even thou some of this fairy tale takes place in RL locales and times
I'm playing in a Rise of the Runelords game in tabletop, and the GM has us investing downtime and money into actually growing the city of Sandpoint. We're midway through book 2, and have a seat on the Sandpoint council as well as a few businesses built to make some money and a home for the team.
