But yes, spellcasters are tough (same for own spellcasters, you can roll up the map with a good wizard very early)
Yeah I can see that, I'm just starting out with armies. How can you tell which generals can cast healing spells?
I cannot say whether thats true in general, but both my wizard (fireball icon) and my archer (bow icon) general was able to select/get cure spell at lvl-up
I still don't have this spell, what level you get it on?
I had a 260 archer stack that gets systematically 1 shot by the lightning strike of an enemy general.
Really not fun.
Just luck that I managed to end the battle with them still alive in the end.
I have a bunch of other generals but he's the only one that's much if any good. Right I have him with six units, heals, haste, and scorching ray. He and my 400 marksman stack just murder things.
Hah yeah I got him by accident. Read a spoiler that nuker/healer generals are best. He happened to be the first recruitable one.
His army killed 90% of the map. All my other generals could barely level up.
Same.
Enemy commander blasted 118 of my marksmen with one spell. I cured them back with one spell.
It doesn't excuse the horrid way in which spells are OP but at least it helps you get by without losing your army.
