Mac not uploading saves to the cloud

I'm on an m1 macbook pro (16gb) and when I check the steam cloud it shows no saved game uploads. Working fine from my other computer (A PC). It's making it impossible to carry my game on between devices.

I managed to find a workaround. It works for me.
You can try this by following these steps:

1) backup all your data first. Check if a folder named '~' exists in your user folder. The path should look like this: 'user/~/Library/Application Support/Owlcat Games/Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous' and there should be a sub-folder named Saved Games containing a 'steam_autocloud.vdf'.
2) if so drag and drop the 'Owlcat Games' folder in your Application Support found in your user library. If you don't know how to access your user library press 'Go' from the top menu and hold the option button that would reveal the Library folder.
3) In the sub-folder named Saved Games you can drag drop your file from the steam cloud where you can access these files following this link https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=1184370
4) Open steam and load the game.

This worked for me and I assume that there is an issue with the permissions of the library that the game cannot create the folder inside the user library... Hope someone from the team sees that and fix it soon.

I was looking for where macos stored the save file to get them manually, thanks for your help.

I am having this same problem. none of my saves on the mac client are uploading to steam cloud. and im not even sure where to find them on the mac to try and manually transfer them to my Windows PC

I've been chasing this for a while and just re-reported it; one of the mods said that they would raise it (yay!). On Mac I found with some help from MacSaya...

Cross-platform cloud saves were working after the 1st Mac patch (I think), they broke after the 3rd or so.
My best guess is that a config somewhere accidentally hardcoded the variable/shortcut to the user's home folder (~ on Linux/Mac; WinAppDataLocalLow on Windows) twice.
This causes it to create a ~ folder within ~ (which is a bug).
The app will only upload from this location, however it actually stores the saves in a different location that was previously syncing via the Steam app folders.

My cloud saves page here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=1184370 has 3 kinds of saves now,...
some with no folder and no preceding path (those that used to work on both platforms),

some with WinAppDataLocalLow as the folder with a path like "Owlcat Games/Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous/Saved Games/Auto_1.zks"

some with Machome as the folder with a path like "~/Library/Application Support/Owlcat Games/Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous/Saved Games/Quick_1.zks"

I only got this far by creating symbolic links that ensure that the new saves end up in the folder that now uploads to Steam Cloud.

• App only uploads from: /Users/me/~/Library/Application Support/Owlcat Games/Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous/Saved Games (note the extra ~)
  
  
• Game saves all actual data in:
  /Users/me/Library/Application Support/unity.Owlcat Games.Pathfinder Wrath Of The Righteous (note no extra ~, because /Users/me/ = ~)
  
  
• Steam downloads old saves (from 2nd patch to 4th) from cloud to:
  /Users/me/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/9558731/1184370/remote/ (manually putting in here will upload too, but nothing can currently use them)

how to get auto sync working between windows and mac machines?
it still creates different saves MacHome and WinAppDataLocalLow in steam cloud

The devs would need to fix it. My only solution was to download from the cloud save and put it in the right local directory.
