Dialogue skill check
Are all the skill checks during the dialogues (like when you try persuasion, or have one other choice 'cause a arcane knowledge...) done by the main character or by the best in the party in that skill check ?

I ask this because I want to know if i lose things playing a MC that is not skilled in all knowledge/lore/perception/persiasion skills (these are the most i've found during my game)

Usually, the best member does the check.

This is the case for skillchecks in general, it will use the most skilled character in your group to do it. I think there is an option to change this.

There's a handful of dialogue moments where only you character is available to do the persuasion check. Same with some perception checks. If you don't care about 100% then it doesn't matter.

Kinda yes. But there are stuations where you are alone or without your high CHA buddy...he might have left you for good, too. Have at least one back-up.

There are cases when you don't have party members available. Usually at your camp you have only your character at your command so you can use his skills. Actually if you don't have trickery you will miss a couple of locked chests in the game. Probably nothing important there except some additional bit of money though.

Even in camp, say Defenders Heart or the next big one, it uses the highest skill among your party. If you hover over the skillcheck during a dialog, it shows the companion who is used for the check

Not true or perhaps a bug. I had to use my MC skills in Drezen.

The only thing I've noticed that happen was with the locked chest.

Nearly always, you use the best party member. And nearly always, when you can't use the best party member you are able to use the second-best party member. As long as you make sure to have 2 people maxing any skill you especially care about, you will be completely fine.
