Why are helmets and boots so rare?
Just wondering.. It was a thing in Kingmaker too. Is this just a pathfinder thing?

I'm not talking about circlets, or headbands since they are technically classified as "helmets" I just mean straight up soldier/knight helmets.

I also noticed that boots are super rare.. The game shoves cloaks, armors, weapons of all types, belts, necklaces, etc. down your throat constantly but boots and helmets? practically like they don't exist.

Seems like the system assumes that "straight-up soldier/knight helmets" are part of your armor by default, along with ordinary boots, gauntlets, etc. It's only when one of these accessories is enchanted to do something beyond its basic function that the game calls it out as a specific item.

Because magical head- and footwear are somewhat uncommon. But there are a few around...the boots freedom of movement, the helm that grants +1 to all rage effects, the one that gives DR 3/-, and a few others.

I wish the visual adjustment mod wasn't broken atm so I could just put some helmets on everyone.
Hell on of your companions tells you a story of them becoming a paladin because they accidentally got one killed by stealing their helmet and feeling bad about it.

almost no robes, either.

I understand magical versions of helms and robes are hard to come by, but I would like even non magical items just so I can deck out my Death Knights with an awesome charred helm or put a fancy hat on my swashbuckler, etc...
