Easiest cheat to add a single item?

I'm not looking for infinite gold EXP or levels, but cause of a combo of the game's buggy nature and the balance being out of whack, i'm now basically screwed.

So, the game balance being the way it is, i'm walking in a lab i was teleported to and suddenly the game decides 'f*ck your level 9 party, here's a CR 35 demon, eat sh*t nerds'. even had the nerve to give him some CR14 minion. By nothing short of some miraculous X3 crits from my archers and slayer, i managed to kill him but not before he basically one shot the slayer.

The game then bugged out and wouldn't let me access the menu. Couldn't reload, only save.

My oracle has raise dead but i dont have a diamond. I can't leave this place and all the fights have been handing my ass to me and now one of my main DPS guys is dead? My last save before is way too far back. All I want is to add a single diamond, not game genie my way to godmode. All these trainers I see for exactly that but none mention just simple inventory management.

Id also consider just turning on Death's Door. And make sure your healer has the healing spell at 5th level that can bring a recently dropped person back to life. That has saved me from getting a true death on a NUMBER of occasions.

probably just wanna use toy box mod. It'll let you search items to add to your inventory. Don't forget to enable achievements in toy box mod too, if you care.

I definitely have death's door on, my difficulty is core aside from that. Even Darkest Dungeon or X-Com aren't that punishing considering no matter your character's build a lucky/unlucky roll can 100 to dead you instantly.

I tried, but the first red flag is i need an external program to install and run it? ugh. i spent like 30 minutes tryin to get that to work and it didnt so f*ck the toy box and unity mod manager.

I searched trainers and they have edit item quantity but nothin about adding an item i don't have :/

toybox, there's a search section that lets you search for any item and add it to your party.

Yeah, Unity mod manager is needed for a unity engine game. Crazy, right? It's literally start UMM, point it to the installation directory, drag and drop the Toy Box zip file. After you've done that you don't even need to start UMM anymore. If that's too complicated for you then I don't know what to say... Life's gonna be a tough road for you.

Gonna look past your jackass sarcasm and say I put that together in 2 seconds. I boot the game, it says restart+errors in the unity manager and UI Log

I restarted unity, reinstalled it twice, restarted PC for kicks. i looked the error up but its all java boards and im not learning another damn language for this. im not zoolander bangin my fist on my case. it DONT. F*CKIN. WORK. Crazy, right?

at this point im better off just going 3 hours back in time to avoid dealin with this caca manager

I had trouble installing the manager until I decided to run it as administrator if that helps

just didnt have the necessary rights

if you have it installed though it is really nice and works great as a platform for mods

give it another try

try a 1.2.x version of toybox, latest toybox has some experimental features and may not work, had no issue with latest 1.2 tho

What can I say, people acting like petulant children bring out the jerk in me. I'll help you more than I should: This is covered somewhere in the first 5 pages of comment on the nexusmods page

This, or the fact i uninstalled the pathfinder directory selection and reinstalled using 'Assembly' instead of doorstopproxy whatever that is. I also downloaded the 'experimental' 1.2 build and its ace now. Thanks for the suggestion

to clarify i downloaded the top 'non-experimental' one first which didnt work? but this one did so.. all's well that end's well i guess lol.

Heads up, it'll break if the game updates. You'll need to reinstall UMM any time WotR updates using assembly. If it breaks next time, now you know why.

I only needed it for the one thing so i'll probably uninstall it right when I close the game. That being said my frustration earlier was again, largely due to the psychopath at owlcat who decided to throw these random unforeseeable CR35 or whatever party killers for no reason... I'll be glad to know how to reinstall it the next time I run into one of these dumb encounters lol

keep it handy, toy-box solves a lot of this games issues, crusader mode for once, party moving SLOW outside of combat making map traversing a pain you have just to sit through...
at some point I got so bored of having to recast all my buffs all the time just because the game is balanced around the Idea I would go in full buffs all the time that I simply set buff duration to 999x and now the game is just perfect to me...
