You need to get him weapon finesse feat that scale his damage from DEX (honestly not 100% sure he can take that, need to recheck).

His weapon counts as 2 1handed even tho it looks like 2h weapon, so build him as many attacks, lots of damage char.

Keep taking armiger levels, hellknight subclass is not so good.

Take extra feats in mythic levels. All useful passives, including piranha strike, outflank, seize the moment.

He will grow in simple as brick and deadly autoatacker that will wipe everything under haste spell.

I use him at L10, as Bloodrager, so far it works quite well. Armiger L5, Hellknight L1, Bloodrager L4.

He has fighter's finesse that works as weapon finesse feat for his weapon training group (which is double weapons).

fighter 6/hellknight 1/bench warmer 13
Bloodrager is fine, especially naked chad primalist with archmage (mostly because archmage being absolutely broken). Can go virgin steelblood, but eh.

At least 3 levels in hellknight is well worth it. Second level stops his armour from slowing him down, third lets him take travel domain for an extra 10' speed. Makes him a real speed demon with 40' move speed in full plate.

But yes, in general he just needs mythic weapon finesse, then he starts hitting like a truck.

Huh, didn't know that, explains why he had that skill train started.

Thank you!

Hi guys,

I see lots of people make Regil a bloodrager.

I have never seen a proposal to try to give him a build to get sneak attacks to increase his damage.

is there any rationale to prefer bloodrager vs a sneak attack build for Regil ?

I built him as Fighter 6/Hellknight 1/Arcane Enforcerer 1/Sensei 12. this gives him full BAB, access to mage armor (through armored mask) and a bunch of useful buffs for the team through Sensei. he is lawful evil so he can wear that +3 dodge robe as well.

I've got him as a Sacred Huntsmaster Inquisitor - putting him on a Leopard compensates for his short legs and helps with getting all those juicy Full Attacks in all the time, feels like that's more of a damage boost than Sneak Attack would provide, and it's not like the Inquisitor spell list or other class features are bad either.

Been struggling quite a while with him as well. Even a vanilla Regill is viable on core (start with armiger levels to get the feats, then switch to hell knight). A very important *obvious* note is his choice of armor: give him a Mithral full plate (first one drops from Staunton) in order to take advantage of his great dexterity, through armor training. Any normal full plate armor will slow him down, as his strength is low. Travel domain is one of the best options.

Regill is perfectly fine as an Armiger10/Hellknight10 on unfair in the role of a pure reach damage dealer. He has no defenses, but he doesn't need them while attacking from the safety of the 2nd row with Lunge and Legendary Proportions. Since he belongs to the order of the Godclaw, he gets access to domains and can thus get the Law domain which in turn grants him Touch of Law - one of the most powerful domain abilities in the game. This somewhat relieves the burden of deploying domain powers from Sosiel who can use his actions for something else, including other domain powers like Touch of Good, Visions of Madness, Bit of Luck and possibly others.

I've always been perfectly happy with him as Armiger10/Hellknight10. Almost everything he needs for his unusual dual wielding plate wearing finesse build is there.

And plate doesn't really slow him down at all. His armor training covers the penalties. And you can even have him take the travel domain to be 10 faster than everyone else.

That all makes perfect sense. But i am a bit dummy here, why never trying to put him with sneak attack ? Is there a mechanical reason for not doing so ?

I mean i have not seen anyone trying to add sneak damage to Regil and i wonder why.

So to simplify, just go 10 fighter then 10 HK? And take the "common sense" feats for damage?

One guy from this same post mentioned he has fighter finesse or whatever, does this mean it's already unlocked or do i get it later on?

When you get him he's 5 fighter, 1 HK I think. I usually have him finish off HK to 10, then go back to armiger for the rest of his levels. But do whatever order works best for you.

Fighter's Finesse lets him use weapon finesse with his Gnomish Hook Hammer. Its a Fighter class ability. He already starts with that. When you get to Myth level 2 you can pick up Mythic Weapon Finesse and that will let him use his dex for damage too.

Side Note: Since many people miss this, the Gnomish Hook hammer is a double weapon. Which means he dual wields with it (like a double bladed lightsaber). So make sure to pick up the various feats for two weapon fighting so he gets lots off attacks. You'll want to get Mythic Two Weapon fighting when you can as well.
