Act II : Drezen what is the best approach?
Earlier I convinced the Queen to join the Crusade. Given that for Drezen, whats the best assault approach?
1. Personally Leading the Charge
2. Go with Hellknights to assault the Giants
3. Go with Nurah's plan? I feel this is a bad choice - Nurah's feels shes upto something since I discovered that strange perfume in her tent

if you want to finish it quickly then don't go with option one

I went with the Hellknights on my playthrough, it went quite well. Can't say much about the frontal assault.

Nurah meanwhile is a traitor and if you take her advice, she'll lead you right into an ambush. That 'strange perfume' is what she used to rule the Vescavors into your path, and she's also the one who told the gargoyles where to find your party members to grab them.

If you want to get the succubus companion earlier, go with #3. But you need to have talked to her at the Desna shrine at the lost chapel first.

You -can- find her in the dungeons even without going with Nurah's plan, for what it's worth. Whether you can recruit her like that, I don't know, but I do know I ran into her and had the option to either let her go or keep her in the cell.

Even if true, #3 would still be the earliest you could get her. You'll be able to get her into your party after the first fight that route and use her for the rest of the map if you want.
You didn't get the third option to have her join you, so either you missed what I spoilered, or she's not available the other routes.

But everyone gets another chance at her later, so may not be a big deciding factor.

You know, fair point on getting her at the absolute earliest.

As to missing out what you spoilered, correct. I never figured that out until a ways later when someone mentioned it. Just thought I'd add what I do know (that you can encounter her without taking Nurah's plan, but as I didn't meet all the other pre-reqs I couldn't confirm if you can recruit her that way or not). ^^

If you confront Nurah on several accounts in camp (strange perfume and alchemist fire) you can reveal her treachery which makes her depart before you assault Drezen. So you are left with two choices Hellknights or troops. Though if your Trickster path is open you can convince her to play both sides. Either way if you uncover her treachery she leaves early.

So can you recruit her at the earliest
1. If you speak to her at Lost Chapel
2. Go with the Hellknights and not with the nurah's strategy?

The absolute earliest is Nurah's strategy, since it'll dump you right in the dungeon where she is, if I'm not mistaken.

But the Hellknights and frontal assault should both be able to pick her up later on the same map, they just have to fight their way through the surface to the dungeon entrance first.

hellknights is best approach.

Also if you want to recruit Arueshela, you need the have heard the Fey song in the Desna dream and you need to do the Altar puzzle in the Gargoyle chapel.

That way you'll be able to sing her the song and she'll want to come with you since she knows you already.

Where are the giants if you choose the Hellknights?

Last time I went through Drezen I scoured the whole map and never found any giants.

You can climb the Walls of the First Ring, open the Doors and find the Giants there, without "Comencing Attack" on the Gates.

They are up on the walls / towers. To get up to the battlements where they are, you usually need to make an athletics / mobility check to climb up at certain spots (hold Tab to look for interaction buttons).
