How to deal with armor weight as a low-strength halfling?
Armor is supposed to weigh less on small races, but when I put it on its the same weight as on a medium character, and its pushing me into my medium load, killing my max dex score and decreasing my AC overall. Literally all Im weaing is studded leather, a crossbow, and the lucky bracers and Im well into medium load.

Is there any fix for this?

Belt of + STR
Milthral armor
Give up on real armor lean into that high dex and get some bracers of AC

Not using armor. Go dex and buy some mage armor pots.

So there is no fix for the armor weight bug?

There is no bug. Armor is just one set for all races. Yes it silly but it is better then having to make multiple versions of armor for different sizes.

I wouldn't say it's a bug, it's just straight up not implemented in Owlcat's games. But as others have said, you are better off just using bracers in the back.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or if they haven't gotten around to coding the interaction between small/large creatures and armor into the game, but my best advice would be to prepare a Mage Armor spell, via scrolls or potions if necessary. Mage Armor has zero encumbrance, no armor check penalty, no max dex cap, lasts for hours and gives you +4 AC instead of the +3 Studded Leather gives you. =)

That sucks. You wouldnt even have to make different versions, literally just put a *.5 factor for small races -_-'

Armor is pretty much only for melee str users. For those that do some dex scaling, you're limited to armors that match your dex bonus. Casters and Ranged Damage don't need armor, they shouldn't get hit except for some saving throw spells/abilities.

In the endgame, the most efficient route is determining what you want to lose to gain something else. Sometimes it's good to stick a high concentration caster in armor with spell failure chance, if that armor has really good magic features. But generally speaking, armor is something to be ignored most of the time for DD's and to be replaced with natural armor, dodge, spells, etc.

Don't use halflings don't have low strength there fixed it for you
There are some weired flaws here and there that makes no sense, like shield weight adds - to atletics checks. I mean if i need to move some ♥♥♥♥ i will normally just put the shield down?
