I didn't do demon path. I fought full party against him on core difficulty. So I just used Phantasmal Killer spell on him and killed him.

My first time through, this was a rough fight. He went down pretty easy, but everyone but Lann and Nenio were down by the time I rolled high enough to hit the dragon enough times. Usually, the answer to "how can I beat this fight on Normal?" is "cast your buffs, like, all of them, before any moderately signposted encounter." If this isn't working, there may be an issue with party composition or character builds, but I wasn't super optimized and managed to squeak through. Use scrolls, potions, cast everything you've got, activate those abilities. Anything that gives you plusses to hit and makes it harder for them to hit back.

The word u are looking for is True seeing. Buff ur units with it. Took him down in 3 turns on unfair. Advisable to get Enduring spells for your buffer, cleric? True seeing lasts 24hours then
Lvl 5 spellbook single target
lvl 6 communal (aoe) true seeing
Boss has very little hp. So with true seeing u take away his only advantage
I was lvl 11 at the time of fight
Then use stinking cloud heightened to your max caster level , that take cares of dragon. He fails fortitude save

P.S Do not rush to the boss! Let him come to you, you take away his advantage of multiple hits on turn 1. Also Don't bother going into melee (except for pets ofc, he has nasty aoe for anyone close to him. Just bust him down from distance in 3 turns. My bully pet (horse) martyr paladin even knock his ass on the ground and then when he attempted to get up it was game over for him
P.P.S
My advice is also not to engage minions, ignore them , just put one of your tanks on their path for them to concentrate on. You focus on Boss , minimizing amount of turns of fight

Unlike the tabletop Pathfinder, in this game you can still full attack after your mount moves, even if its a double move. I abuse this a ton on melee characters, like Seelah who gets a mount as part of her class. Load her up with a ton of buffs and send her straight in. There's no reason to ever charge with her since you only get 1 attack on a charge.

Blaster Caster Demon killd him in 3 turns on core difficulty. Not sure if this is applicable to your build, but his touch ac is low and his dragons touch ac is a joke.

Most people forget about scrolls and potions but you can buy literally everything you need in Drezen.

Buff up before the fight. Buy scrolls if you have to.
True Seeing - Most important buff to get through his mirror images
Resist cold and Protection from cold - His axes and his dragon deal cold damage
Stoneskin - Should keep you healthy for a bit
Displacement - Potion/Scroll/Spell pick your poison

If you are a caster demon - Aspect of the Brimorak damage per dice bonus is fantastic
Aspect of the Incubus plus your demonic rage baseline increase to dc makes it possible to disable him in a multitude of ways.

IIRC he doesnt have true seeing, so displacement will half the damage taken. Mirror Image will make it almost impossible for him to damage you. Stoneskin will severely nerf his damage.

if you find him hard, wait till you meet his brother Sarevok

fk this game seriously -
it should have the genre CPG (Calculator Playing Game) not Role Playing Game...
Where the hell is role playing aspect when you have to min-max and calculate every turn.

You can do that in PnP as long as your mount moves no more than their normal speed (IE only takes one Move Action to move). But i do think they forgot about that caveat in WotR.

Bruh... The guys who are asking questions on how to beat some boss etc. (or saying that the game is too hard), are the guys that set difficulty higher than their game knowledge. Simple as that.
Set Story mode, enjoy your RPG.

Honestly, you can play Core with only semi min-maxed characters leaving you ample room to role play. The most ready example I can think of is using Seelah to tank for your party.

She can do so on Core while keeping her as one class. It takes a bit of work but is totally doable and viable. However, her base class is not good enough to tank through Hard and Unfair. You need to pull multiclassing shenanigans to have her viably tank there.

I know what it takes to operate in Hard and Unfair but it is not fun for me. So I play on Core where i still need to need to be semi-optimizing but not to the ridiculous extent required by Hard and Unfair.

In other words, tune your Difficulty to your level of desired min-maxing and gameplay knowledge.

Is what I do. Play on casual ,not story mode and eventually that becomes too easy am lvl12 now and kinda get it so going to normal. But the fact that a lot of trophies got a core difficulty requirement made me angry. Do one for the game on core or hard but story ones on any difficulty. Played through it,didn't I?
Look to mass effect insanity or bg3 tactician.
Played half through kingmaker as well, have to finish that after this one. Will learn sometime.

On my first playthrough on normal as a demon rogue this fight was really hard. I ended up doing it by using all the items you get that let you summon stuff. I think I summoned as much as I could just before starting the conversation and used a wand of haste on us all. It probably took a few tries, but I got through it even though I didn't use buffs at that time, so I am sure you can too!
