Help, animal companion ONLY has horse?

New to pathfinder and I have no with 3 different classes, ranger, cavalier and paladin recieved the feat for animal companion but the ONLY choice on all 3 was horse?

Are there supposed to be other options on these classes? Or is it only like Druid that can get other animal companions?

Paladin at least has limited choices, i assume cavalier too but ranger should have more choices

Yeah some have only 1 to few choices and others have all choices, Mad Dog, Hunter, Ranger have all choices about and Druid i think

It's what the Beast Rider cavalier archetype is all about. The rest of the Chevalieres gets horsies.
Rangers do get other choices. Unless you insisted on picking Nomad (only horse, says so on the archetype), or Freeboter (no pet at all)
Paladin gets horsie or weapon bond.

Ok, so I didn't remember what the text was on my Ranger, but yeah I chose Nomad, so crisis averted... I blame myself for now having 3 horses running around biting hte heads off of people.

Lots of classes get access to different animals, or if they get access to the animal domain, either through character creation or the mythic ability to select a second 'impossible' domain. Druids, Sacred Huntsmasters, Sylvan Sorcerer, Hunter, Cavalier Beast Rider, Cleric (with animal domain as a mythic ability), Inquisitors (with animal domain as a mythic ability). Wildland Shamans

Bloodragers Bloodriders get a Smilodon.
Magus Arcane riders get a horse

I believe there is a way of getting a 2nd companion but so far I've found no info on who it is available too.

Its a magic item that summons a medium triceratops, but if your not a druid it has like -4 to its level so its pretty ♥♥♥♥♥ otherwise. Also lich gets a 7th party member essentially. So a primal druid lich with that item could have 3 companions if you'd ever want to do such a silly thing.

The horse of the pally isn't so bad.
But I prefer the raptor of the ranger. It gets pounce, has six attacks and with the aggressor type a nice bonus. For some reason it can kill downed mobs in Blackwater with another attack instead of a coup-de-grace.

Doggos are insanely OP. The Bully Class, + the free trip from being a doggo, + stat boost from Mythic beast makes dogs insane.

You've not lived till you see a lich or a big ass demon threaten you, your dog run in, trip the guy, the lich try to stand, and the doggo doing an AOO that trips the lich again. I'm currently running with two dogs coz thats just too good.
