How to transfer units between armies?

I have two of my armies in the same location(Undeground Hideouts). When I click on "i" and click one the left/right arrows on any of the armies - it opens up a dialog for a brand NEW army. I dont want a new army - I want to transfer between the two armies making it one large army - potentially disbanding one of the now empty armies!!
How to?

You get the armies to stand in the same spot, then on the map you get a new icon next to them. From there you get into a menu that helps you with transferring troops between armies.

Yeah the icon looks like a circle with arrows in each direction ( <-- --> ) something like that

If one army meet another on the road you will see <-> symbol to the right of its name. Click on it and you will open army exchange window.

Its on the army name on the map, not the tool tip in the bottom left hand corner

This allows you to stack multiple armies in one place and kinda "ferry" units between them (also don't forget Master of Maneuver for those extra unit slots)

oh it has to be on the road? I thought i could only meld/merge at encampments !! A lot of this game needs video tutorials :)

They actually explain a lot really...they just have a poor way of doing it because their tutorial popups just take up the whole screen, are intrusive and make you immediately want to click "close" instead of actually reading what it says lol

If you set your profile to private that's what happens

Shoot so the <-> appear ON the map as a TINY ICON - and not after clicking the "i" - which ALSO has a <-> but that allows only to CREATE a new army!!!
So confusing :(
