Paladin Hit Die

I am playing a Paladin MC, and both he and Seelah seem to have d8 hit die instead of d10. At L2, my MC (12 CON) has 20 hp (16 base, 2 Stat, 2 Favored class) and Seelah (14 CON) 22 (16 base, 4 Stat, 2 Favored class). For comparison, Lann (14 CON) also has 22 (16 base, 4 stat, 2 favored class). What's going on? Is it a bug, or an intended change?

Its intentional, its the max hp of the die below your class at all time to average strong rolls instead of being rolled at each lvl or always giving you max hp.

They give you an average fixed roll on lvl up. For d10 hit dice the average it gives you is 6.
