Cant pick locks

Would there be a reason why someone with 11 trickery get the message "cant pick locks"
Is there a skill needed to pick locks or is it bugged.
if i have the entire team selected my log just gets flooded with "xxx cant pick locks"
same with trying to disarm a trap. no one even attempts.

Also curious. Only the thiefling camelia and aru can even attempt to pick locks for me. Tutorial said anyone could try though? I just get the message saying "xxx can't pick locks" if I try anyone but those 3

You need to have put one rank into trickery on level up (or at character creation). Just having +X in trickery from various boni will not work.

Oh and some locks will break if you mess up but that should give you a different message in the log.

have you put any ranks to trickery during level ups? that would be one possibility i could think why it is not working

Sure don't lol. I honestly wasn't sure why I couldn't do it on anyone else so I didn't want to waste any in the spot, but this will change things. Thanks
