Like the double headed orc axe.
It's a two handed, double sided weapon.
It is kind of stated in the weapon type.
And yeah, you use two weapon fighting to determine the second "head" attack and damage.
The PRO is that both attacks are from the same weapon, with the same bonuses.
The CON is the same.
You get CONSISTENCE at the price of VARIATION.
If a weapon has a VERY good effect, you don't have to stress to place it in the main hand or the secondary hand: on hit the effect WILL proc.
But you get only one weapon, and not multiple POTENTIAL effects that classic dual wielding gives you.
So, yeah. Not a waste.
I looked closely and it clearly says Two-handed. Where exactly does it state its a double weapon?
I do know that it is true though. It also attacks like you're using two weapons.
Right click the item to reveal the verbose description and then read through the entire description there.
And nowhere does it say its a double weapon on any of the 3 gnome hook hammers i have. The only mention I've found is that they fall into the weapon training for double weapons.
Right, so chalk it up to lack of detailed info in game design. Gotcha. Thank for the replies.
Perhaps if i used him more I would have worked it out, only using him as I picked his Drezen attack option. Thought it was very strange for him to have 2 weapon feat but use a 2h weapon. Oh well, it is what it is.
