Spiked heavy shield doesnt give ac bonus?
Is that correct? if so why ever pick it out a weapon if you are duelwielding?

It's a Shield-typed bonus. Do you have any other kind of shield bonus active - like a Shield spell?

no like I said I swapped between a normal shield and spiked to see. Can confirm its not working right atm

Also mounted shield isnt being added to my mounts ac aswell.

My slayer has been using the heavy spiked shield that does an extra 2d6 holy dmg on shield bashing all along and it always gave its ac properly. Sound like people missing the improved shield bash feat and blaming it on the game.

Edit : just retested and it still work just as fine as it did before the patch.

I found that really weird too. If I'm not mistaken, in the original D&D 3.5 ruleset spiked shields also gave the wearer an AC bonus.

It's bizarre to see that characters like Seelah can't use a spiked shield properly because the game treats it as a weapon, even though she uses a sword and shield all the time.

Yeah first spiked ive come across called masterwork spiked heavy shield doesnt even mention bonus to ac in its description...

For some reason they made spiked shields actual weapons instead of shield. So you can actually dual wield a shield in each hand, (funny!) and they provide no defensive bonus.

Because they're weapons, not shields, you probably don't need any of the shield bashing feats, and they wouldn't work with them if you had them.

Soooo... This happens only to one specific shield. Later you would find spiked shields with AC bonus.

Note that the shield bonus does not stack with itself, so equipping two shields shouldn't double your shield bonus.

The normal spiked shield doesnt give ac either, So you are saying their will be ones later that give ac. Such a strange choice as im pretty certain pnp they do give bonus?
