You trigger the effect after you kill him, his body is throw into the prison(or somewhere else, i forgot, but Anevia will tell you where), and you'll have the chance to "judge" him as Aeon or to bring him back as a Lich, or let things be as the other paths.
No Aeon option is visible when Irabeth is asking me what to do with him.
The lich option is red, the rest is basically getting rid of the body in various ways except for the evil way which will put him at display.
Well, i am a little bit further on Aeon path after conquering Drezen. as far as i see it you get a chance to redeem him, but cant recruit him
Unless of course there is more with him later. but i personally dont think so.
Excuse you, Undead Staunton is also a companion, and thus: the second.
The Aeon gets to redeem him later with the first time rift, preventing his betrayal.
The lich gets several undead companions, which others cannot get (Staunton, Delamere, the dead warrior in the mines in act 4).
All right, I'll let them bury him with dignity for now.
I'm itching to see how good a warpriest is without having to reroll character to do it.
