There a way to duel wield and cast arcane spells?
Curious, wanted to start a new character and wanted to give a build like this a try. I think by raw this isn't possible? but I haven't done too much research and am curious if there is a build that can do it.

If not possible is it moddable with toolbox?

yes, you can duel wield and cast spells.

In fact the rogue you can get is this exact build.

So I could potentially make a dual wielding sword saint magus and ignore spell strike(I think that requires a free hand)

Never really understood spell strike as you get OOO all the time.

(plan to mod in a couple two weapon fighting feats to offset heavy feat number requirements)

Er....don't know about sword saint magus. Not too familiar with that class.

Like fighter/mage in baldur’s gate? Yes there is eldritch knight.

I just made a Saint Sword with an estoc. Not 100% sure how the game handle it but, you should be able to cast while dual wielding HOWEVER you will lose the combat casting ability of the Magus which allow you to both attack and cast a spell, since for that, you need a free off hand.

I am hoping I can use the Estoc two-handed when fighting normally and then use it 1 handed when using the combat casting ability.

I'm pretty sure there are classes that require offhand free to cast spells, idk if sword saint is one of them though I have never played those.

Speaking of the rogue you get.... can he get to dimension door? I've played caster rogues before but never this eldritch scoundrel subclass, it was always multiclass to do it.

Edit: had the wrong class, it wasn't arcane trickster

I imagine he can. Dimension door is a level 5 spell right? He won't get it until super late game.

I just looked at his stat sheet now that im actually in game again, its a 4th level spell he can get at level 10.

Huzzah, that was one of my favorite things with a castery rogue before, go invis, dimension door behind enemies and ambush mid combat :praisesun:

You cant spell strike nor spell combat if you dual wield but besides that its totally possible.
I.e. you cant use magus to attack and cast in the same round whatsoever if youre dual wielding.

Perfect, I don't mind that. Just want the intelligence to AC/initiative and such mainly.

If all you want is the AC/Ini you're probably better off going for Duelist, Magus have a 3/4 BA instead of full BA.
