Any drawback from attacking Hulrun if you can defeat him?
Just wondering if he is important for any later quests?

I tried to spare him on my second run. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was determined to die. He ran at my sword.

do you still get the quest to go to the noble companions estate if you kill hulrun?

Beyond that you might miss having him in camp. You could go up to him and chat...about the same dialogue options that never change.

I just feel like my chaotic good character can't really allow this maniac to run around killing whomever he pleases (also he is a d**k)

Hurlun is replaced by Ramien in somewhere later in act 3. Nothing much just to give you few things and few dialoge options.
Spolier for Camellia.
Cam wants to kill whoever comes.

I'm not far so can only say my assumption: There aren't any "consequences", but Ramien says "please don't kill him"

As long as I can still become Azata then I am golden. Just whacked the ♥♥♥♥, Ramien might be forgiving but Hulrun will just kill more innocent people before the end.

He was out of control despite what his alignment read(Lawful Neutral). Cant be reasoned with, had to wreck him.

Did not or might not be far enough in the game.

Given how the games alignment system works I find this does fit in an extreme cast. He was extremely bent on the rule of law and the rules, they had been betrayed before so he rest back on law and order. I think neutral because he didn't enjoy or condem the killing, it was simply necessary (in his eyes) to keep the city safe. He was so paranoid all were suspect so all his actions were justified.

He was still a ♥♥♥♥ and deserved to have his butt liberally kicked in good measure however!

I am going to go back and kill him at some point thats for sure. The guy does not deserve to live.

You can leave it to Camelia

There actualy is a possible concequence in act5 in city "Iz".
During battle for Iz Hurlun or Stanton can protect camp with Sword of Valor banner, but honestly banner bonuses at this point are insignificant

As Doomsday said, in Chapter 5 there is a major story consquence, but gameplay-wise is more or less meh... personally I prefer having Hulrun around for story/lore reasons, but it isn't really all that relevant.

I killed the old mofo with Midnight Bolt nearby. Ironic...
Losing out on full ascension ending, but screw that
