Respec your main character

Can you respec your main character into another class? For example sorceror crossbloded to sorceror overwhelming mage?
Or is it a mod that can allow you to do this?

you can. NPC to do this is first seen at defender's heart, couple hours into the game

The respec guy at the inn will let you completely redo your main character right down to race.

Yes, you can. However, a lot of people have reported bugs with respeccing the main character.

Yeah i think its free up to a certain level as many times as you want it seems, i respecced like 10 times doing the outpost invasion fight for free trying new builds on Core it was tough

What inn? From the initial city? Or Drezen?

The first inn you go to. Respec guy is standing near Isabeth. Later he moves to your camp, standing near the horses. Look for someone named 'Hilor.'

Haven't gotten to Drezen yet but I'm sure he's there somewhere too.

What about when you finish act 1 and can not return to Defenders Heart anymore? Will that Hildor dude (or his replacement) appear anywhere?

edit: nvm, it seems like he'll live in Drezen's inn when you finish act 2.

People don’t mention the thing that you have to activate it in the difficult settings so be aware if you play on hard like me it will probably change to custom

Alignment choices being erased, racial attributes not being removed (damphir negative energy still being applied despite not showing anywhere on the character's attributes), missing skill points, feats no properly applying after respec. There's more, those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

Erk. Cheers for the heads-up there. I had played a couple of characters and did do some respecs i think on a barbarian hybrid and a spellcaster. Might be better for me to nuke those characters and games and restart them at a later date.

Hildor is in your War Camp too, near the Blacksmith.

Also, be wary if you respec from a Dhampir to another Race it seems you keep your weakness to healing.
