no but in the later part of the story if you are aeon you can save him, if i understand correctly you can also him save as azata but i have personally only played as aeon so not sure

No, he is going down and that's it. I could redeem his brother as Aeon, but never him.

what the real regret is, is that the devs did not add the ability to forge things at the hell forge there. I mean... all you get is a note saying it's a magical forge. total ripoff. someone should mod it.
